This is a question I get quite a bit, so I've finally decided to write down what we have always explained it with.

The land of AtasCosita, though part of Kasuria, works with a different type of magic/life force. When your character arrives in our land all their memories, and knowledge remain, however they are unable to tap into their strength, into their magic.. because they have to learn how to do so all over again.

We don't want to break anyone's characters, that's never been our intention, but we also have to provide a fair starting point for everyone. If we allowed people to choose their own starting points based off of their own idea of their character we'd have a very unbalanced group!

We provide ample opportunity for people to have their character advance in levels, allowing them to to 'tap into' the new magics / life force of the land.
