Character Information Long, blonde hair framed an engagingly attractive face; fierce eyes, well pronounced features, and somewhat elongated ears set him apart from the rest. A mutant, perhaps? In any case, clothing consisted of a black body suit with a plethora of oddly shaped yellow highlights, matching the two golden rings embracing each wrist. Calculated overlapping of fine black and orange capes brought completion to a decidedly foreign--if not somewhat otherworldly appearance for one so deceptively youthful. It was perhaps not so surprising a thing, but careful examination might just make evident a pale glow in very clearly world weary eyes. For all a man's bravado, and all attempts made to conceal the nature of things, one's eyes seldom could lie.

Rough History Outline Gadreel began life in a shoddy little human village on the outskirts of a city in the heart of Faerûn. They were a highly xenophobic people, those men and women; the celestial blood in the then-young Gadreel's veins made him a pariah almost from the moment of his entry into the world. At least their constant abuse gave him the necessary motivation to tap into the latent magic in his blood; that's a good thing, right? Wrong. Things came crashing down when the villagers finally killed his human mother--the solar father never even tried to save her. Seeing her broken body sparked fury, and from this fury came a searing light that wiped away that eyesore of a village in its entirety. Unrestrained magic is, after all, very dangerous.
Skip ahead a century or so to Gadreel's coming of age, finally reaching physical adulthood at the age of 150. Damn sure took long enough, eh? Now an accomplished sorcerer in his own right, the aasimar found himself displaced from his own world as a direct result of his order mucking up an attempt to open an interplanar gateway to one of many realms of the gods; those deities were not pleased. The resulting travels saw him make (and lose) numerous friends, not to mention one case of an unrequited love for whom he very nearly died. Injuries sustained required that he remain in the Lifespring Grotto at the heart of the astral plane just to survive, his powers of magic waning all the while despite his growing understanding of truths.
Skip ahead another decade; Gadreel, aged to 177 (still physically about 154), arrives in Atas'Cosita by pure chance, having been driven from the Lifespring Grotto after his numerous injuries finally finished being repaired by it. The scars remain--they will likely do so for the rest of his life, however long that may wind up being. All aging ceased during his stay, which means now, finally free of that place, his clock can begin the all-too-natural countdown to the end. (Note: I wanted to put his entire history up here, but I actually found that I had forgotten a lot of the finer details. This summary is probably about the best I can do for now.)
